Another year dawns

Alfred, Lord Tennyson:

“Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true.”

At the start of the new year, PLC Construction has been reflecting on events in 2010 and looking forward to 2011.

It is the end of 2010…

We have summarised our view of the cases from 2010 that may impact the most on construction practitioners in two half-year case reviews:

PLC Dispute Resolution has written about the litigation highlights and PLC Arbitration has written about the arbitration highlights.

…and the start of 2011

Construction practitioners have plenty to look forward to in 2011. Most noteably, the long-awaited amendments to the Construction Act 1996 will come into force this year.

Elsewhere, from aggregates levy increases to zero carbon, the construction industry faces an A to Z of change over the next 12 months. We have identified the hot topics for the coming year. Other PLC services have done the same:

We hope you had a relaxing festive break, because 2011 promises to be busy. Happy new year!
